Robert B. Hopkins
Bob Hopkins is the senior trial lawyer for the firm in Portland and heads Landye Bennett Blumstein’s aviation litigation practice. He has extensive experience in products liability, business, and personal injury litigation. He has litigated claims against virtually all of the major aircraft and helicopter manufacturers, a wide variety of aviation component suppliers, and multiple air carriers and maintenance facilities. Over his thirty-five years of trial work, he has obtained among the largest verdicts and settlements in Oregon, beginning with the landmark case of Myers v. Cessna Aircraft Corporation, 275 OR 501, 553 P.2d 355 (1976). He also was a founding officer, twice the Chairman and continuing executive committee member of the Oregon State Bar Aviation Section, and has been a frequent speaker at Pacific Northwest aviation seminars.
