Jason’s practice focuses on general commercial and complex litigation issues, including business torts and contract disputes, insurance coverage, construction defect claims, professional malpractice claims, labor and employment litigation and counseling, and railroad accident and injury claims. He is licensed in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Illinois, and Wisconsin, and is admitted to practice in the United States Federal Courts of Oregon, Idaho, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. - Lead counsel in litigation of breach of Non-Compete and Non-Solicitation provisions of an Asset Purchase Agreement for a large national car dealership resulting in an arbitration award and damages of $4.5 million.
- Co-chaired first manganese induced parkinsonism trial resulting in a plaintiff’s verdict in the United States.
- Successfully secured summary judgment for an international textbook publishing company in an age and disability discrimination suit brought by a former chief executive.
- Successfully secured summary judgment for a national timber company in an age discrimination and constructive discharge case brought by a former chief executive.
- Lead counsel on a breach of contract and trade secret case arising from the misappropriation of a timing system technology currently being adopted for use in running events around the globe.
- Successfully mediated a multi-fatality class action for a national commuter rail line resulting from the derailment of a passenger train.
- Successfully arbitrated a disability claim on behalf of an AIDS sufferer improperly terminated from his position with a national grocery chain.
- Represented insurer in coverage litigation concerning environmental class action, bodily injury, and property damage claims arising from pollution at a copper mining facility.
